Valuable Head Lice Home Remedies

Although not often popular, there are a few head lice home remedies that can be used to treat the condition. Having lice can be such a nuisance in and of itself. Lice is usually passed from one person to another by exchanges of body hair. Something as simple as using a good friend's comb or brush can trigger lice. There is sometimes no way of knowing whether or not someone has lice, just by looking at them. But if you or someone you know has lice, the following home remedies can treat head lice.
Of the few head lice home remedies known is to use Vaseline or petroleum. It is used all over the hair to get rid of the lice. The best way for this to work would be to completely cover the head with oil, and wrap it. Then sit under a hood dryer to let the oil heat up and therefore will cause the lice to stick to the oil. After about 15 minutes or so, use a comb to comb the lice and grease out of the hair. The hair will then need to be washed out thoroughly.
Another item that can be used as head lice home remedies is a stainless steel comb. However one must remain care with the comb. Part sections and comb out the hair from roots to ends. It will then be easier to remove the ticks and its eggs. Also with the comb, can be used is vegetable oil or even vinegar to kill the lice. The comb should be dipped into the oil or vinegar before each section that is being combed. Of course as before, the hair would need to be washed. This should be done about every two days until all lice is gone.
These are just a couple head lice home remedies that have been known to work and have been used over the decades to treat head lice in adults and children. One just needs to be careful to not pass it on within the home. Wash all towels, combs and brushes well. Treating lice can be a task, but there are no over night remedies.
